I just had to post this picture, taken not thirty minutes ago.

That child is only six, ladies and gentlemen! And just barely that (her birthday was October 28th). As you can see, she did not get her two front teeth for Christmas this year (though she doesn't do too badly saying "Sister Susie sitting on a thistle" for all of that). That's a total of six teeth lost already, in case anyone's counting. I just pulled up a picture of her taken this past summer and almost plotzed when I compared it to this photo. Her hair's grown a good 2.5" since then and between that and the missing front teeth it's amazing how much younger she looked only five months ago. I swear, I feel like I'm going to go to bed tonight, wake up tomorrow and she'll be graduating high school. Old....I feel old, people.
Nevertheless, we like her very much, holey grin and freakish maturity and all. She's a good kid.

Your daughter is lovely, Mary. Yes, they do really grow up as quickly as you quipped. Hold 'em while you can.

She's so gorgeous! And a white shirt with no stains? I'm in awe.
