Guess what? We're having van trouble again!

The van started making a banging sound as Robert was driving it here to California. He told me last night about it and then I promptly forgot. I took it out this morning to have it washed and do some errands and about had a stroke the first time it made the noise. By the time I returned home the most godawful banging was coming from the front right side every time I turned the steering wheel. Upon closer inspection, the front right tire appeared to be slanted inward at the top.

Fab.

Robert and my dad and the neighbor, who happens to own a garage of some sort, have all left to take the van to said garage. I'm expecting nothing less than the entire steering system needing to be replaced or some crap like that. Because, after all, it IS I about whom we're speaking, here.

This makes the third issue this year. The computer incident carried over from last fall till mid-January. Then, a couple of months ago, the brakes went funny and had to have something-or-other done to them. Now this. Seems like a good time to reiterate my "Please never buy from Chrysler/Dodge" campaign, hmmm?

Sounds like the bearings, I had the same problem with my Impala, shortly after purchasing it with only 32,000 miles, and on both sides. We had to buy two entire axles, because it comes as a set.

Or it could be as simple as...someone forgot to tighten the lugs completely and the bolts have snapped and welded to the remaining lugs. Yeah, that happened to me, too. Same car.

Don't fret, just keep fixing the car you have and then later... you will have to keep it, because you have more money invested in it, than your own offspring. :)
