If you're going to have an extremely common first name, it helps to have a more unusual last name to balance it out. Marys are a dime a dozen but Mary (my last name here) are few and far between.

I am not a huge fan of memes when they make up a significant portion of a blog. But, used sparingly, they can be interesting or, at the very least, not terribly annoying.
