4 Months!

I just realized there's only four more months until Abbey Road on the River. That blows my mind. I swear, it feels like I JUST got back from AROTR '05. Yet here it is coming up again fast. I cannot WAIT. I enjoyed myself so thoroughly last year that I have been looking forward to returning since, oh, the day I got home!

Hello, hello!

In the interest of not boring everyone absolutely to death I decided I needed a separate blog for all my Beatle-related musings. I honestly do not expect to get many readers nor feedback from this. Really this is for my own sanity. I don't have many Beatle pals and the friends I do have who are fans do like to talk about other things once in a while, whereas I could drone on about the lads for days. I really need a place where I can spill all my Beatle-related thoughts (you have NO idea how many Beatle-related thoughts I have in a given day). Talking to myself is better than talking to no one at all.

I am going to leave all my previous Beatle-related entries on the Incorrigible Night Owl but I will probably see if I can also copy them over here just for continuity's sake.

Peace and love, everyone.

Two in a row, sorry

I promise I will talk about other topics after this entry. I really should consider starting a Beatles blog to keep all this separate.

Anyhow, this just happened yesterday afternoon and I was so proud. We were in the car listening to the radio. The station played one of those bumpers they are wont to play that has snippets of a bunch of different songs in it. One of the snippets was from "Hey Jude." It was a micro-snippet, really; it was four words in its entirety. But John-Zachary (age 2.5) caught it and began singing from the backseat: "Hey Jude, don't make it bad...."

I've at least done one thing right.

All it takes

Why is it that after 12 years of listening to the Beatles almost non-stop my face still lights up when I hear one of their songs come on the radio?

It just never gets old.
